Tribute to Wael Abbas

Congrats Wael.
Wael Abbas, the Egyptian blogger, is the first ever to win journalism award.
The 32 year old as described by Gulf News (issue dated August 31st, 2007)is the latest icon of internet journalism.
His blog MisrDigital, started in the year 2004, is visited by approx.30,000 readers daily and one million a month.(WWWWOOOOOWW)
It contains the latest political updates that we don’t hear about in official newspapers, supported by videos and pictures.
Wael has been fired from several jobs due to his blogging activities?1?
He has not been subject to physical threats but has once been detained for six hours for no plausible reason.
(So much for the democracy in Egypt!)
Anyways, I only wrote this one to pay him tribute, I visited his blog several times it is remarkable, very bold BUT not for the weak hearted as it contains some brutal footages.
Finally, this young man is worth praising, he is courageous; he sacrificed his job to stand up for his right to speak and reveal to us the corrupt environment we’re living in.
So instead of keeping the blindfolds on please visit www.misrdigital.tk
